What are the Shopify Collective Community Guidelines for suppliers?
Shopify encourages suppliers to follow a set of community guidelines to build good working relationships with retailers. Only send connection invitations to retailers you genuinely want to work with, and respond promptly to invitations you receive, whether accepting or declining.
List products with complete, accurate details, aiming for at least 150 characters of product description and high-quality images. Keep inventory accurate to avoid delivery delays, make sure shipping profiles have realistic transit times, and provide genuine tracking numbers on everything you ship.
When shipping directly to a retailer's customer, don't include your own marketing materials, discount codes, or invoices in the package, and follow the returns policy that you've agreed with each retailer. Aim to respond to customer support inquiries within 48 hours.
