Why broken cell wall? Chlorella has a naturally tough cell wall. Breaking it is an important part of preparing chlorella for use.

What about iodine? Chlorella is freshwater-grown, not kelp or seaweed. Ecogenya’s algae has been tested for iodine — none was detected. If you monitor iodine for a medical reason, review current batch information and speak with your healthcare professional.
