About Villager Puzzles

Partner

Est. in Comox, British Columbia.

Modern puzzles designed by women artists from across Canada. At Villager, we see hobbies as a form of self-care and we are on a mission to help you rediscover downtime. Recycled from premium paper board, vegetable based inks and matte finish. Each design features beautiful, original artwork — and every artist earns royalties from every puzzle sold. So when you choose Villager, you’re not just supporting a Canadian small business, you’re helping Canadian women artists do what they love and make a living from it.

I discovered my love for puzzles somewhat by accident. As a working mom with three kids, I was looking for something quiet to do in the evenings after they went to bed. Puzzling became my form of meditation — a way to unwind and recharge at the end of the day.

I’ll admit it: I’m a bit of a puzzle snob. I love puzzles, but I couldn’t find ones that matched my style or standards. I wanted art that was beautiful, colourful, and fun — something I’d actually want to hang on my wall. I wanted pieces that fit together perfectly, without glare under the lights, and packaging that looked as lovely as home décor (because it often is).

Now, I’m building Villager Puzzles from my home in Comox, BC to create exactly that — and I’m sharing the journey openly along the way.
