Ethically Sourced: Level 1 - mined by Anna & Behati in Tanzania, purchased directly via Tanzanian Women’s Mining Association via Moyo Gems, cut in Montreal Canada
Handmade: Metalwork & stone setting completed by hand in Canada
Quantity: (1) single stud with butterfly back or (2) a pair of studs with butterfly backs
Metal: Ethically handmade sterling silver, 14k yellow or rose gold fill earring; OR solid 14k yellow, rose or palladium white gold
Care: Remove prior to exposure to water. Failure to do so may impact the stone and/or the setting

We are working with female artisanal gem miners of the Umba Valley to assure rubies, sapphires, tourmaline, garnets, citrines, and amethysts, from mine to market. We work to empower women miners to work safely, mine better, improve financial security, and create stable, equitable markets for fair trade.
