About Aurifil 8wt Thread:
Presented on an elegant white wooden spool, Aurifil 8wt is a 2ply thread produced in Italy to the same standards you’ve come to know and love. It will be available in an introductory palette of 20 captivating colors, spanning from the ever-popular muted neutrals to an array of inviting warm and cool hues. It is ideal for hand quilting, embroidery, and cross stitch or anytime something a little heavier than 12wt is desired.
Aurifil 100% cotton 8wt marks the first thread weight debut in 6 years and is destined to be the must-have of 2024. It will release on February 24, 2024.
With thread produced in Italy, Aurifil leads the industry in good stewardship. They have a partnership with Plastic Bank, a social enterprise headquartered in Canada which aims to clean up plastic waste from our oceans while providing valuable opportunities for people living in poverty. Aurifil thread is Oeko-Tex certified, meaning that the thread is certified free of harmful chemicals.
