About Eloise and Oliver

Partner

Est. 2022 in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Handpoured smallbatch soy wax candles and home decor. Eloise and Oliver offers warmth and uniqueness to your life. Through candle scents, unique decorative candle styles, and home decor brands that create a lasting emotional bond. "Gezellig" is a Dutch word meaning cozy, inviting, or sociable.

The story of Eloise and Oliver began many years before its inception in 2022. The year before COVID hit, while attending the Queen Square Farmers Market with her partner, Emily told him that she would love to be there as a vendor someday - she just didn't know what she would offer.

After working for multiple local businesses over the next few years, including helping a friend realize her own dream of owning a business. And picking up hobbies like sewing, and baking, Emily finally found what she was looking for. She became enthralled with watching decorative candle making videos on Instragram, and once again picked up a new hobby.

This was exactly what she had been waiting for. She researched just about everything she needed to know, bought the beginners materials, tested different waxes and colouring dyes, and had fun making them. Friends and family quickly were interested, and in Autumn of 2022, Eloise and Oliver was born.
