Founded in Toronto in 2012, Shoosha was created to meet a critical need: truly safe, organic skincare for babies, kids, and those with sensitive or compromised skin. As the first North American brand to offer a full line of USDA Certified Organic skincare, Shoosha combines exceptional purity with antioxidant-rich botanicals to help calm and care for skin—our body’s largest organ.

In 2012, Patricia Di Gasbarro, a former corporate HR executive and Torontonian mom, was shocked to learn that by their second birthday babies could accumulate enough environmental toxins to permanently damage their immune systems.

Two years later in 2014, Shoosha was born with an entire line of skincare products meeting the USDA organic standards for food – containing at least 95% organic content, rich in inflammation-fighting antioxidants, and no synthetic preservatives or petrochemicals in cleansing ingredients.

Today, Shoosha continues to evolve — from its origins in baby care to meeting the need for different demographic groups with skin barrier needs. Informed by a deep respect for the skin’s immune function, our formulations support skin as our largest organ and first line of defense against harm. They’re safe enough to eat, yet powerful enough to protect and heal.
