We're Omba, a family run woodworking shop based out of North Vancouver, British Columbia. Our aim is to offer pieces that will last you a lifetime and which follow three principles:

-Built out of solid wood
-Customizable
-Designed to fit into any home

My wife and I were looking to furnish our home with furniture that we could keep for decades. However, we discovered that it’s very difficult to buy high quality furniture these days, even from expensive brands. Almost everything you see from West Elm to Ikea is built using particle board or MDF. It doesn’t last long and it’s difficult to repair. The result is that people are constantly replacing their furniture and no one seems particularly happy. Therefore, I decided there was an opportunity to build high quality furniture out of solid wood, with a modern aesthetic at a premium but not luxury price point.
