Did you know that hot chocolate made from cocoa powder is oftentimes produced from the slabs of roasted cocoa bean particles left behind when cocoa butter is extracted?  We take a different approach. We start with pure chocolate ganache, that heavenly mixture of couverture chocolate and heavy cream that you drool over when you watch baking shows on the Food Network. We then put it through a freezing and drying process that turns it into a powder that is pure goodness. No milk powders or salt or other additives. Just the best shelf stable long life chocolate you can get to which you add just a tiny bit of hot water. and voilà!

 

For drinking chocolate: Add the contents to 2/3 cup boiling water. Mix well. Package serves 2.
For hot chocolate: Add 4 tablespoons to 1 cup hot milk. Mix well. Package serves 5.
For best results use a stick blender.

For an epic mousse-like dessert treat, prepare as drinking chocolate, pour into a small bowl and refrigerate overnight.

Glaze a cake, smother your pancakes or French toast, drizzle on ice cream, dip your strawberries... the list is potentially endless

Borne of a desire to find a more convenient and more portable form of a bonbon, and being the kid with his proverbial hand always in the candy jar, when I sold my prior business and thought I was retired, I met my future spouse and realized it was time to go back to work. I took that opportunity to reinvent the chocolate bar to carry the flavours most commonly found in typical chocolate shops in unwrapped bonbons and truffles but in a way they wouldn't collect lint when put in my pocket.
