How to Die Cut Sewing Machine Shapes:

Apply fusible web product to the wrong side of the fabric, following manufacturer’s instructions, before cutting for fusible appliqué. Place fabric on die right sides together to cut pairs.

  • Sewing Machine: Cut and fuse one 7 1/4" x 5" rectangle. Place on selected blade and cut. Cut 8 sewing machines across the width of fabric. One yard of 40" wide fabric cuts 32 sewing machines.
  • Accent: Cut and fuse one 1 1/2" x 5 1/8" rectangle. Place on selected blade and cut. Cut 7 accents across the width of fabric. One yard of 40" wide fabric cuts 168 accents.
  • Knob: Cut and fuse one 7/8" x 1 5/8" rectangle. Place on selected blade and cut. Cut 24 knobs across the width of fabric. One yard of 40" wide fabric cuts 984 knobs.
  • Spool: Cut and fuse one 1 1/4" x 1 1/2" rectangle. Place on selected blade and cut. Cut 26 spools across the width of fabric. One yard of 40" wide fabric cuts 728 spools.
  • Spool End & Circles: Place scraps on blade and cut.

Cut Size: Sewing Machine 6 3/4"W x 4 1/2"H (17.1 cm x 11.4 cm), Accent 4 5/8 "W x 1"H (11.7 cm x 2.5 cm), Knob 3/8"W x 1 1/8 "H (1 cm x 2.9 cm), Spool 3/4"W x 1"H (1.9 cm x 2.5 cm), Spool End 1/2"W x 1/4"H (1.3 cm x .6 cm), Circles 3/4", 1" (1.9 cm, 2.5 cm).

Finished Size: 7"W x 6 1/8"H (17.8 cm x 15.6 cm).

We are a local family that decided it was time to turn our love of quilting into our family run business. We took over Cottage Quilting and Sewing Machine Center the summer of 2013. Cottage Quilting was established originally in 2003 by another family and we were lucky enough to keep this local business going!

You will always find one of us at the shop be it the front of the house helping with our Sewing and Quilting Classes, Fabric Selection, Running our Quilting Clubs or just having a coffee with one of the ladies. You might even see the man of the show servicing machines in the back or bringing out the pair of newly sharpened scissors.

We are so pleased to be back in the Okanagan Valley as your Kelowna Quilt Shop and are looking forward to working with each and every one of you.
